DAX is an American electro-rock artist based in Austin, TX. He comes from an artistic family, still has a day job as Marketing Consultant, he's the eldest of 7 children, was born on Valentine's Day in Cincinnati, lived in Boston, New York and Los Angeles and was nominated as Music Connection Magazine's top 100 unsigned artists.

Now, where shall I start with this CD, there's a serious mix of genres here. The first track "Submission" has funk elements mixed with Industrial and then it goes more EBM. It can be pop at times and even has ethnic rhythms on "Lay My Head"; but, it's the heavy guitar, à la KMDFM or Rob Zombie, that dominates this CD.

Now, such variety can be tricky, does this mean he doesn't know yet what direction he's going or is there more? Again, fusion is the key element on this CD. This is definitely to be continued, and this is a fine start. Nice sound! (ES: 7) ES.
